Yesterday I participated at the "Knowledge and Democracy Seminar" (Facultad de Filosofía y Letras/ U. de Málaga), where I presented a research paper entitled: "Do Metaphors Operate as Epistemic Pathologies in End-of-Life Discourse?"

The main speaker was Michael Hannon (U, of Nottingham).

Harvard has set an example for other higher-ed institutions - rejecting an unlawful and ham-handed attempt to stifle academic freedom, while taking steps to make sure students can benefit from an environment of intellectual inquiry, rigorous debate and mutual respect. Let’s hope others follow suit.

Hoy hace 110 años murió Anselmo Lorenzo (1841-1914), uno de los primeros grandes anarquistas españoles.

Un interesante recuerdo suyo fue cuando conoció a Marx y, hablando en español, este dedicó mucho tiempo a conversar sobre la literatura española del Siglo de Oro y elogiarla.
