Sad to see Elio join the ranks of Treasure Planet, Titan AE, Lightyear and Strange World as another family animated sci fi flop.
As someone who always loved sci fi over fantasy, I’m always rooting for one of these to be a smash.

Linda Linda Linda is a longtime favorite movie, and I’m so happy I get to get meals a shiny 4K copy of it. GKids again doing gods work. 💙💙💙

A piece that asks the question “what if animation was 90% cheaper” and uses as its ONLY example an AI animated YouTube series that already looks cheap as hell. Like, 95% cheaper than any professional production I’ve ever seen.

What a shame that a good show, that employs an entire crew of great artisans to make, has been soured for me by its AI-loving star.
Mrs Lyonne should have more respect for all the people that make her look good on screen, and use her position of power to help them instead of undermining their work.

people don't see artists (musicians, writers, crafters, etc) as laborers and that's the entire problem right there
people are inclined to see creativity as a hobby or downtime activity, you can't make it actual real work, what rights do you possibly want when you're being a slacker with no ambition
