20 years ago, about in this time of the year, I started the journey of PeaZip project.
It has been a long way, teaching me more lessons than the ones learnt to overcome the technical challenges.
The journey has definitely been more important than the destination, I hope we will continue it together.

PeaZip Flatpak 10.8.0 was updated earlier today, to improve integration with KDE6 context menu.
PeaZip is no longer on Facebook.
Today I've deleted it, choosing to focus on communities on Reddit and Bluesky.
IMHO community building is still pivotal for improvement, and a good social network should serve to collect ideas and expertise from the entire community to benefit the entire community.

The new release improves handling RAR and TAR archives, enables preview for more archive formats, adds the ability to preview items in archive with the integrated image viewer and with "File tools" functions.

My two cents about the gatekeeping issues Windows users are increasingly experiencing.
In brief, gatekeeping is not a panacea, and to make it worse Microsoft enforces it with the bluntest and less fit tools in its arsenal.
Developers and users deserves better.

PeaZip is Open Source, and can be compiled with Lazarus IDE starting from the standalone sources package or from its Git repository.
