I get kind of annoyed when people just say "organize." You need to understand, your audience is online. Organize who and where? A lot of people don't know about the organizations in their area or how to get involved.

Meta literally created a LGBTQ exception for calling someone mentally ill as an insult. You can't do it for any other group except LGBTQ people.

The image is from a "Transparency Center" document and lists guidelines regarding acceptable and prohibited content for insults. It mentions:

1. Insults about:

Character, such as cowardice, dishonesty, criminality, and sexual promiscuity or immorality.

Mental characteristics, including but not limited to accusations of stupidity, intellectual capacity, and mental illness, as well as unsupported comparisons among politically correct (PC) groups based on inherent intellectual traits.

2. Highlighted section:

The document allows allegations of mental illness or abnormality when tied to gender or sexual orientation, referencing political and religious discourse about transgenderism and homosexuality. It also acknowledges the non-serious use of terms like "weird."

The 14 words are not a “dog whistle”. Dog whistles are subtle and intentionally obfuscated. The 14 words are one of the most recognizable hate symbols of the past 100 years.

They have directly inspired both antisemitic violence and anti-Black violence.

We need to be aware of how the Christofascist Right uses words to get what they want.
It goes like this:
- they raise a Bill for the Prevention of Puppy Abuse
- everyone votes Yes; who wants to be in FAVOUR of puppy abuse???
- the actual wording of the bill is weaselly
- there is enough language in the bill about how much the Right loves puppies that most people are completely fooled
- the bill passes
- it turns out that what they MEANT by
"preventing puppy abuse" was
"arresting & murdering Black, queer, and/or trans people for owning dogs"

They do this all the time. It's up to us to be wise to their tactics and meet them head-on. They rely on our knee-jerk response of "of course I want to prevent puppy abuse!" but we should all know by now that they do not actually care about puppies. Or children. Or anyone.

It's always a good idea to carefully read the wording of the proposed bill & try to think it through logically to see where weaknesses are built into its structure for them to exploit.
Ask yourself why would the Christian Right, who are notorious for child abuse, push this bill?
