Sometimes pinball practice goes so poorly, I start believing the only reason other people want me in this space is because they need easy scrubs to beat to boost their ranking and they're trying to convince me I have a remote chance at being good at this.

I'm disappointed that there's been no formal repercussions for this tournament so far.
I'm disappointed that everything just kind of went on because people got theirs.
But I think the things I'm most disappointed in are the people who are aware of what happened and chose to participate anyway.

Correction: I flipped a bit on a Rolling Stones in a Mexican restaurant during dinner, and I think there needs to be an NHL-branded table with buttons to activate blocking posts on outlanes and the center drain.

I'm not entering my first out-of-area tournament because of this horrid bullshit, and honestly, I feel perfectly fine about it. Fuck transphobes and spineless tourney directors. I'll enjoy myself out here without a single flip on a table.
One of the employees ran into the bathroom and shooed a trans person out and told them that she would call the cops for trespassing. Tourney admin basically took a “well this is my volunteer but not my employee” position.

I think I'm reaching a point where I want to be more selfish. A point where I want to make sure I'm focusing more time on those who are willing to take me along for their rides and also enjoy my company and adventures.
Or this might just be a midlife crisis kicking in and making me ramble.

It's probably not good practice to be playing on a pinball table without a tilt bob, but dang, is it ever satisfying to aggressively nudge a table and put down a personal best after a rough week competitively and mentally.

The one good thing about driving four hours to a pinball qualifying tournament: By the time I'm done driving back, my mental breakdown's run its course and I'm too tired to post anything depressing.
