Has @maklelan.bsky.social or another #Bible scholar talked about Genesis 2:17, and whether God was lying, since Adam and Eve did not die on the day they ate the fruit? All I found were #Apologists mostly saying it was metaphorical, i.e. "separation from the Lord is the True Death"

I think it makes them harder to access. When we are afraid, it can override our value system and reduce us to survival mode. And even after we leave that state, outdated survival strategies can become unhealthy coping mechanisms.
