New: Downing Street will be without its cleaning and catering staff for *a month* in a dispute over pay and conditions. It's part of a wider dispute, and linked to efforts by the PCS union to get the staff, who are outsourced contractors, brought in-house.

Cleaners working at 10 Downing Street and the Cabinet Office are taking strike action from 24 February over pay & conditions, according to sources at their union, PCS.
