The Palm Coast Historical Society was founded in 2000 and since then we have be collecting and preserving our local history. Our mission is to both preserve our history and share it with the community. In the past decade we were given a space for a museum
A photograph from June 1984 of the Palm Coast Welcome Center. The Welcome Center was first opened in October of 1970. Sadly the building was demolished in 1995.

Welcome back to our favorite spokescat whose new movie is opening in theaters this Memorial weekend. ITT Community Development Corporation signed an exclusive agreement with United Feature Syndicate Inc. and cartoonist Jim Davis in 1985. This gave them the right to use Garfield promotional material.

Back when ITT was promoting Palm Coast visitors were given tours on the trolley so they could see the new residential communities and model homes.

This model home from Palm Coast, Florida was called the La Plaz. It featured a U-shaped kitchen with General Electric appliances. The exterior was customizable with multiple types siding and windows.

Garfield has been a feature of newspaper comics for decades. He also spent some time as the mascot for Palm Coast from 1985 to 1989. During that time if a visitor toured the first time share facility they received one of these Garfield shaped telephones.

This Palm Coast Model Home from the 1970s is the Del Mar. Advertised as an ideal home for a large and active family. The Del Mar featured four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a host of GE appliances.
