@cleanupbritain.bsky.social Without doubt, the simplest, easy to keep New Year resolution, is to set yourself the challenge, to not drop any litter, this calendar year. A rewarding thing to do, and benefits the entire country.

Considering how hard they're supposed to work, farmers can find time for a #JollyBoysFarmersOuting
Unless of course, they've left the surfs behind to carry on working #EliteFarmers

@teamlabouruk.bsky.social However much many of us celebrate Labour being in power, a word of warning Mr Starmer, let's be totally honest here. Bit if an own goal with winter allowance, and farmer inheritance. Both could have been handled better. We're 0-2 down now, can't conside another #GreenBelt.

Did we loot the Elgin Marbles? No, I would suggest we rescued them, for safe keeping. So, now they can be safely returned. Maybe the Greek govt may want to reimburse the storage costs. It's only fair.

I do hope, the farmers who are using their tractors, to drive hundreds if miles, to protest that, although they pay substantially less inheritance tax than anyone else, they should in fact pay nothing; aren't using tax payer subsidised fuel, for their tractors. This I believe would be illegal.

Diane Abbott should resign from The Labour party and sit as an independent. Right now her negative rants atr unwelcome. Goodness me, they have enough to put up with , fighting constant battles with the media. Very sad, but the party is bigger.

I have to admit, I do miss, some of the twitter thickoes. At least they made me think a little better of myself.
November 26, 2024 at 4:16 PM
We now have, a grown up government at last. However, let's be honest, when they're battling against the written, and broadcast media, no own goals please.
The winter fuel allowance is an error, without a cap of say 25k combined household income.
Come on Labour, ammend, and take away the ammunition.

We conduct a regular street litter pick. Why is it, we observe, that the vast majority, has clearly been discarded by the under 25's?

At the moment, this forum is like, well, a lovely blue sky. I would also welcome anyone ,to share their views and opinions , in a reasonable way. However, how will the inevitable liars, haters, and trolls, be handled, when they appear?

The @theguardian.com headlining with "Clarkson says" Why in the world, does, The Guardian think, it's readers give a toss, what that arsehole thinks?
November 19, 2024 at 1:40 PM
Tories openly support wealthy farm owners. Wealthy farm owners openly support tories. They can cry on each other's shoulder . . .
November 19, 2024 at 11:43 AM
Maybe the farmers can tow out people stuck in the snow on their way home. May as well do something useful.
November 19, 2024 at 10:42 AM
Just nipped back to twatter, genuinely scared me . . . .

Shouldn't our farmers and fishermen, be publicly celebrating ,the "huge" benefits, the brexit they voted for , is delivering for them. Shh, sorry , I can't hear a thing.
November 18, 2024 at 1:03 PM
Farmers can, and should, blame chances like Clarkson for the changes to inheritance tax. Farmer my arse !
November 17, 2024 at 4:02 PM

November 16, 2024 at 10:08 AM
Ok, so when did a drop, in Bank of England interest rates, result in mortgage rates rising?
What am I not getting here?
November 16, 2024 at 9:05 AM
Am I out of order if I rant, "F" off, to the written and broadcast media of the UK.
November 15, 2024 at 9:30 PM
The BBC should think hard and long before "revamping" MOTD post Lineker.
Remember what happened when they tried the same with TOTP's r.i.p
