When you first enter St Peters, as you walk down the nave towards the high alter, inlaid in the centre of the floor are words of the name & length of various cathedrals around the world showing their length and distance to the high alter..This gives you an idea of the sheer size of St Peters.

4/8..We were given access and a tour to the Necropolis of the Vatican..Very rare and special...The approach to the start was in an area of the Vatican that the public crowds do not have access to or are able to view... We had to go through two security checks.

2/8... we walked the streets and sights of Rome, plus lots of stops for coffee, crisp cannoli , maritozzi and Biscotti...Plus marvellous pasta and /Italian and Sicilian wine in the evenings..
