TIL an old microwave oven can spontaneously try to set itself on fire.
The microwave in my office's kitchen did this today.
No flames (that I saw) but lots of smoke.
It was made in October 2004.

April 15 was the 100th anniversary of the grand opening of the Prince Charles Hotel - and it has had a century of trials and tribulations.
