I hope no one is fooled by Trump’s using antisemitism as an excuse to attack academic freedom and to go after Muslims. Rather than making the country safer for Jews he is doing the exact opposite.

Heather Cox Richardson’s been going on about how the Ukraine drone attack is a game changer in warfare. Really it was just the Trojan Horse ploy. They hid the drones in prefab housing being shipped into Russia.

The news this morning said today is the 50th anniversary of "the fall of Saigon". The fall of what? You mean Reunification Day as they celebrate it in Vietnam? It made me wonder what they call American Independence Day in England? Ungrateful colonist rebellion day? Perspective is everything.

Here in western Oregon most drives are generally courteous. But there are occasional angry MAGAts in their big pickup trucks trying to run you off the road. They don't even know why they're angry. They just see a cyclist and assume you're a liberal and therefore to blame for all their problems.
I’ve written about the strange way that just thinking about cyclists makes otherwise rational people furious, in the light of Jeremy Vine’s decision to no longer post his cycling video because of all the abuse.

No wonder Jeremy Vine is hanging up his helmet cam – the rage we cyclists face is off the scale | Peter Walker
Why does cycling make so many drivers lose their cool? It’s partly ignorance, but demonisation by politicians doesn’t help, says Peter Walker, a senior political correspondent for the Guardian

I had a lovely bike ride today despite two drivers trying to run me off the road. It made me realize MAGAts are still angry. They won, the got their man and he’s doing all the awful things they want, but a lone cyclist on a country road is still a threat to them.
