Wilson’s Storm Petrel, so close to the boat that we didn’t even need bins to I.D. them. From the Penzance pelagic on Sunday. 🪶

A shout of Cory’s went out and I looked up to see it hurtling towards me! Such a memorable experience aboard the Mermaid pelagic on Sunday. 🪶

One of the many Wilson’s Storm Petrel seen from the Penzance pelagic. Such a challenge to photograph with the boat rocking about, and the speed they whizzed above the waves at. 🪶

Had a fantastic Mermaid pelagic trip off Penzance on Sunday. The sight of 15 Wilson’s Storm Petrel “dancing” on the water was absolutely magical.

Black-eared Wheatear (Eastern), from Cyprus in April. I’ve still not finished going through the photos, I really need to stop taking more until I’ve sorted the ones I’ve got!

I spent a good couple of hours sat watching Redstart at Thursley Common, where several pairs were busy collecting food.

Working nearby this morning meant I had the chance to try for the Woolbeding Honey Buzzards, couldn’t believe my luck when one did a close fly-by after 10 minutes wait. No further sign after 2 hours.

My bro has done it, birding Nirvana, a self-found patch lifer. Hang up your bins!
What a morning at Clifford Hill! Was content with a fly over Whimbrel and heading back home came across this Red-footed Falcon! Lifer on the local patch, absolute gold.
