Had to go to bed early last night as I was up before the crack of dawn to go to a conference but I’ll certainly have a wee dram this evening to celebrate Scotland making it to their first World Cup since I was 16 years old. Outstanding! 🏴 🥃

I know they’re dicks but that’s a tremendous setlist to be fair to them. I love that they’ve started playing Subterranean Homesick Alien again on this tour . That’s my favourite song on OK Computer. Planet Telex too. Old school bangers all over the shop.

This is just a disgraceful decision. Where are wee bands meant to get heard now? Like seriously, if it's all "easy listening" "mainstream appeal" stuff how will bands like mine ever be heard by anyone new?

This is just a disgraceful decision. Where are wee bands meant to get heard now? Like seriously, if it's all "easy listening" "mainstream appeal" stuff how will bands like mine ever be heard by anyone new?
That's right, I wore my own bands t-shirt to my work. 20 year old me would be horrified. Tbf 20 year old me would also be horrified that I'm in my mid-40's and still trying to "make it" but here we are.

I don't like that jazz has become acceptable again. Popular even. As Tony Wilson said - Jazz is the last refuge of the untalented. Jazz musicians enjoy themselves more than anyone listening to them does.

Sad to say but I don't love the new Johnny Marr Jag. Not a fan of the lipstick pickups. Also it's nearly 3 grand?! That's a spicy meatball. I think his original signature Jag was pretty much perfect and I deeply regret selling mine.
