Head of Classics Department in a UK grammar school and also an MPhil student with RHUL. Cardiac arrest survivor, hard rock fan, guitar collector and a Spurs season ticket holder. Always looking at my next gig or next travel destination 🤟
I have a season ticket on #SpursStadium south stand. Paid for an adult ticket for my 8yo granddaughter. Website says #spurs do not consider south stand suitable for children but I'm sure I've seen children up there. Is this just advisory?

Here we go then...hopefully Ange's last 45 minutes as Spurs manager. Levy can f*ck off as well.

Delighted to take ownership of this rather splendid volume today, especially as my good friend @drchristinah.bsky.social co-authored Chapter 10 🤟🏽

After virtually circumnavigating the globe over the past 18 months in search of a Roman coin collection that's not closed for renovation, I've just stumbled across this awesome display. This must be what Heaven feels like 🥰😍🤔 #IstanbulArchaeologicalMuseum

Supporting Spurs should come with a bloody health warning. My blood pressure is shot to f*ck after that game!

Ever wondered why walking around museums is weirdly tiring? At normal speed our legs act like pendulums, swinging forward from the hip & saving us a huge amount of energy. In "museum shuffle" our muscles must do ALL the work of constant readjustment. So cake in the cafe is scientifically justified 🥳

Hope I'm wrong but I fear for Spurs and for Ange today 🫤 #COYS

We should win but anyone who thinks we are not capable of self-destructing and f**king this right up isn't a proper Spurs fan! #COYS

Looking forward to this one tonight even though I do have a soft spot for #Roma. Should be a cracking game and the travelling support from Rome will.make for a cracking atmosphere #COYS

Looking at tying a trip to #Ankyra in to my #Istanbul visit at Christmas. Anyone know if the Res Gestae is still visible on the walls of the Temple of #Augustus?

An exquisite high-relief chalcedony cameo portrait of the Emperor Augustus: ca. Early 1st Century AD. The drill holes in the wreath suggest it was further likely embellished with gold leaves. #Roman #AncientBluesky 🏺

Another reason things are so much better here than Twitter.

Was going to visit the numismatic collection at the National Archaeological Museum in #Naples after Christmas. Guess I'll have to go somewhere else!

So, apart from Caracalla and Geta being based on Beavis and Butthead, a very shaky plot, sharks in the Colosseum, and other animals looking like they'd just come from a Percy Jackson movie, it was an entertaining couple of hours. Denzel Washington is superb 👌🏽
