I'm curious, experimental. I do have strong opinions, but I try to hold them loosely. I am passionate about good work. I'm into the details.
@jeffkassouf.bsky.social — Read your article “Why are USWNT players leaving the NWSL for Europe?” One thought stayed with me — Freedom. Not just to leave NWSL or make more money in Europe, but also to not live in a nation where their liberty is being reduced and their abilities disrespected.

We should make Black Friday "Bleak Friday" and have an entire "Bleak Week." Not a complete strike. It would mean going “Blue Law” for a week. Buying only the essentials — groceries, some clothing items, necessary medicines, and the like. We need to show that we are the strength of the economy.

Not all design goes to “development”.

We should always remember that progress is a fallacy. That doesn’t mean we as individuals shouldn’t stop trying to improve ourselves and our lives. Goals and dreams are important to the psyche. But we must realize that humanity has not progressed past its ugliness.

I see ABC is bringing Kimmel back. Too late. Your kowtowing has ruined your reputation. I will be avoiding the full Disney/Hulu/ABC/ESPN cluster as much as possible.

Lately I have noticed several interesting and probably good stories being done by @cbsnews.com. But I don't read them. Why? I don't trust the network that has cancelled The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. And I avoid watching CBS as much as possible. Kowtowing has ruined your reputation.

My thought on smart glasses — why would the millions of people globally who have spent their money on contact lenses then spend even more money to put on glasses?

It could be the time to boycott network TV.

Some songs circle back and resonate now. Heard Elvis Costello belting out…

"So where are the strong and who are the trusted?
And where is the harmony, sweet harmony?

'Cause each time I feel it slipping away
Just makes me wanna cry
What's so funny 'bout peace, love and understanding?"

The end of seasons

A slow September,
As the neighbor’s pool shimmers,
Summer simmers on. . .

@troyaik.bsky.social — Please stop yelling into your mic when broadcasting. I have my tv volume down to 5 and I can still hear you. And I am trying not to hear your commentary. But I do want to hear the game. Thanks.

Here’s one from the category of product endorsement. I have heard that Microsoft doesn’t allow its own employees to use Co-Pilot.

@rhodia-officiel.bsky.social — No. 13 dot grid pads, si vous plait. Merci.

@madeleine-aggeler.bsky.social — I enjoyed your article on little white lies. But I must say, your first “lie” wasn’t one. You did have other plans — to rest after your travels. Others don’t need to know the details of your other plans.

@royals.com — Here’s another reason I mute Ryan and the knucklehead. They are constantly talking about how good the other team is and how great those players are in the other dugout. I want to hear our announcers call the game at hand with a slant toward the home team.

@royals.com — You know, I like that kid Tolbert but Q is setting him up to fail. He’s a second baseman. He is not a center fielder. Today is just another bad example of playing fielders out of position. That’s what ended what was a good outing by Wacha. Poor management.

#designsky So what happens when the AI bubble bursts and all those tools disappear?

Because you know many will be gone or become sooooo expensive no average person will be able to afford them.

@royals.com — Mute.

Quoting Audrey Knox from her “Why I'm betting against AI.”

“AI is derived from amalgamating human work into one big blob and then spitting out its averages back at you.

Working ‘with’ this is not interesting, and it is not an achievement.”

We are not the human race but human beings.

Let’s concentrate on being together rather than racing towards, well, nothing.
