My daughters FaceTimed me tonight to tell me their dad had a heart attack and was in surgery at VGH. He and I split 23 years ago. I started sobbing on camera. It doesn’t matter what the makeup of the family is, but when it feels like it’s shrinking, it hurts. My heart is with him.
