First time in 30 years, I’ve been to McDonald’s. Yes, I wanted to try pickle fries, and get socks.

If you want to make your own Dill Pickle Salt, try this.

Dill Pickle Salt

Ingredients
1/2 cup kosher salt
2 teaspoons pickle brine (juice from a pickle jar)
1 teaspoon dried dill weed

My beautiful lawn is golden. It aggravates my Neatnik Neighbor that I don’t rake leaves. I think my yellow lawn is groovy. ( yes, I’m that old.)
After the rest of the leaves have fallen, we’ll mow. Returning the nutrients back to the soil.

Fall Happens. 🍁Like it or not. 🍃🍂🍁 The first chili of the season is simmering in the crockpot. (Jim Long sells a good chili 🌶️ seasoning.)

Do you make chili from scratch?

A trip to my herb Garden changed the character of this salad. It started out as pasta salad with herbs, but is now spring herbs with pasta.
Share your salads. What’s growing in your garden or gracing your table?

The garden is exploding. The farmers market tables are overflowing.
It’s the perfect time for a salad.
Show me your salads.
My salad today is strawberry and spinach with poppyseed dressing. I added lemon balm from the garden and a slice of fresh lemon.

These big beautiful Darwin tulips are the last blooms of the season. The amazing thing is I haven’t planted tulips in over four years so these are repeat bloomers.

These giant purple tulips are Darwin’s. And they are repeat bloomers I haven’t planted tulips in four years. I have never in my life seen to exploding this late in the season.
