Been thinking about that "assassination attempt" lately. Hinckley,Sirhan and Oswald are household names but that kid is anonymous. Is it plausible that the world's most vindictive , cowardly man would never mention his name or have the presence of mind to stand and pose right after being shot?

Getting tired of arguing this, but politicians aren't judges and winning an election isn't a lifetime appointment. No politician should ever run unopposed. Facing primary challengers is the essence of democratic politics. You need to prove you're the one for the job every election cycle.
