To limit disturbance to migrating Brant geese, beaches are subject to seasonal “no dog” restrictions, on and off-leash within the Parksville Qualicum Beach Wildlife Management Area. Rathtrevor Beach closed to dogs, February 15 to April 30, and Parksville Beach, March 1 to April 30. #parksville

Mainroad crews will be removing an overhanging tree from the southbound lane of Highway 19 just south of Exit 51 on Monday, December 22 from 8 am to 1 pm. The right-hand southbound lane will be closed during this work. Slow down and obey signs, follow traffic control personnel. #parksville
