@mattbelloni.bsky.social When Walt Disney World opened, a lot of activities were aimed at adults: Golf, tennis, boating, etc. In some ways, the “Disney adult” focus is a return to that adult focus.

It’s hard enough for a new attraction to stand on its own, but when you bulldoze over the heart of something that gives the theme to your theme park, not only do you take away a beloved part of the park, but you’re setting up the new thing for failure too.
