I ran my first running race this morning! I got a medal for finishing and ran my second best 5k time, despite the muddy section and the hilly bits.

After wearing my new glasses every day for a month I have walked into a doorframe face first and hit myself in the face with a door twice today (so far). Glasses are fine (couldn't get bendy ones) but just as well I have a free* pair on the way.

This week at choir the sopranos had to sing a top G. Which theoretically they ought to be able to do. Turned out that was theoretical.

Today I counted votes at the local election. I've been wanting to do it for ages but never remember early enough. Until this year. My back hurts and my feet were too hot, but I had fun and will definitely do it again.

Watching the London Marathon has inspired me to go out for a run later. But a 4km run since I'm training for a 5km race, which is a distance I haven't run since October.

I set out to fix a WP plugin (that I copied and change LJ to DW). I started by bringing down my site with a fatal error and got my IP address blocked from the server. So that went well. (I ended up finding a different plugin that did the same thing and modifying that instead)

I went for a run, thought I saw an odd looking dog run across the path and then realised it was a muntjac!

I thought if I need new glasses next time I go to the optician maybe I could give myself more choice of frames by not getting bendy ones because it’s been a while since I opened a door into my face. And then I opened the car door into the corner of my glasses.

(So I'm trying out using this now. Reading is so hard when it doesn't just show you the new posts like literally every other social media site. But as long as I keep my reading lists small and check the site at the same time every day, it's not too bad)

Went for an unexpected run today, given the current weather and set 2025's 5k PB. Who knows when the weather will be good enough for the next run.
