The straps are a part of his robes that can extend and be controlled through magic. He uses them often to move around, rest on and for self defence.

Ngl I find it a bit annoying when someone draws body horror tf stuff and they get comments like “why is the character upset? This would be amazing!!”. I think it kinda ignores the intent of the artist.
Like it’s fine if that’s your fantasy but that’s not what I’m going for in this drawing. :’)

Ever since I watched the Lucario movie I’ve wanted to see a Pokemon game with a medieval themed setting.
