Book #10- I listened to The Correspondent by Virginia Evans. I understand why it was considered the best sleeper of the year and ended up being a powerful book. After listening, there was so much to process.

#librarytalk My goal in 2026 is for everyone to reset the algorithm for books that are rich in literary value so they aren't on the weed list. Go to the library and check out your favorite child book The Borrowers, Little House on the Prairie, The Diary of Anne Frank, Narnia.. our algorithms matter.

I did not read a book this week. Well, read 3 at storytimes. I've been too busy fighting winter problems. I see Libby holds will finally be rolling in next week.

A patron is grieving the loss of her husband. For several weeks her books have been too difficult. She always asks for my recommendations. Today she went home with 3 Mitch Albom books. Fingers crossed. The Five People You Meet in Heaven, The Next Person You Meet in Heaven and For One More Day.

My son in law will be in Kraft's box watching a game tomorrow. That is 2 degrees of separation. Life is odd. I asked for complimentary merch. Watching the game with my daughter and little kids. We are bringing snacks. I'd rather be home than in that. ❤️ go Pats!

My Subaru got stuck in my daughter's driveway and my husband, daughter, grandsons dug me out. It wasn't snowing. Wind and drifting snow. I officially hate winter. A Subaru getting stuck. That says a thing. Ugh.

I've helped out my daughter a bit this week. Sickness brings everyone to their knees in families. When she got home today, she had gone grocery shopping and bought me a rotisserie chicken. It was just perfect. Sometimes saying I love you is just food. ❤️

Last week was awful for us (broken pipes and cold). This week sickness descended on my daughter's home. Everyone fell, one by one like dominoes coughing and aching. Nana stepped in to help and isn't that what we do? This winter is rough. Hang in there. I gave out 18 meals today.

We decided to watch John Wick again, then cleansed our palate with Pirates of the Caribbean. Excellent decisions.

Her head is damp. With all the dripping faucets in our house she has found her new love for flowing water. Our shower is dripping. Waiting for it to bring proper hygiene at home into our lives.

Did very little today. Slept, drank coffee, read, went to my daughter's house to shower. Still have the frozen shower pipe. Mile up the road she lives. All other faucets good. Made hot dogs, baked beans and fake mashed potatoes with a dollop of saurkraut because I can. Library job in the morning.

Feed cleanse. My 7 year old grandson lost both front teeth this week. I also bought him an overpriced electric pencil sharpener that will be step one of still loving writing with a pencil. He loves it. Cursive? Future goals.

That -20 this morning froze my shower pipe, but not my faucets. My kid lives a mile away for a shower. We did our usual meal distribution. Watching Schitt's Creek now for reasons. Working at the Kingdom of Knowledge tomorrow. The sane place.
