Few academics in the humanities want to re-think decades-old evaluation systems; nobody wants to re-do their years-old course designs. The real cost of this inertia and refusal to adapt will soon become all too clear.
“Students using ChatGPT to produce an essay suddenly seems like a mere nuisance compared with the dire prospect of them turning to AI to do all of the course reading for them.”

We have to rethink things. We live in the era of universities as AIvory towers.
