πŸ›°οΈβœ¨ Exciting news β€” we’ve built a lightweight corner reflector for #SAR measurements, and it’s performing beautifully in a #Sentinel1 image!
πŸ“Έ Watch for the green square after 16.6.
πŸŽ’ Compact and portable, it’s now ready for deployment on a high-altitude glacier.

πŸš€ A little piece about me and the #WaCoRe project just came out β€” talking about the beauty of satellite #RemoteSensing πŸ›°οΈ and what life’s like doing science at #TUD πŸŽ“.
The article is only in Czech (sorry! πŸ‡¨πŸ‡Ώ), but online translators do a pretty good job:

What a fantastic week at ESA #Biospace25! πŸš€πŸŒ Great discussions, inspiring talks, and the chance to reconnect with old friends while meeting new ones in the EO & environment community. Excited to have presented my WaCoRe projectβ€”a poster preview here: panmoravec.github.io/images/Biosp...

Excited to share that I’m working on the #WaCoRe project at @EnvRS_TUD! πŸŒ²πŸ“‘Funded by MΕ MT and EU MSCA-CZ, we aim to improve forest water content estimation using microwave signals reflected by corner reflectors. Will it work? The first results are coming soon! 🌍#RemoteSensing #SAR

Thank you for the explanation and I look forward to seeing the final product!

Just learned from @hagolleo.bsky.social that #Sentinel-2 A and C capture scenes only 30s apartβ€”great for motion detection! See sailng 🚒 ~100m (β‰ˆ12 km/h). Interesting is ~20m misregistration between the satellites πŸ‘€. Also differences in spectral response: NDVI🌿 variation on the test field was 0.014.

I'm sorry, hopefully the gif will move now.

Thanks for the tip; I took a quick look at it. The angular difference is too small to create a DEM. However, it could be used for motion analysis and the associated cloud and shadow detection.
