The kids were rapping in my class and making rhymes to “house”. One of them said “arouse” and I told them to look it up.
“What does it mean, Miss?”
“There’s a dictionary behind you but suffice to say it means you’re… excited… about … something”
A few minutes later “Oh! It means you’re h-o-r-n-e-y”

I had many goals for spring break… one was querying and I just sent out 4. I love this book so much, but I love all my books do much. This one is just so different I’m hoping that gives it a fighting chance…

I just DNF’d a romance book because the stakes were too low. Yes, I know romance stakes are supposed to be low but these were just… ugh!
You two are just doing life and nothing interesting is happening to either of you as you just do life!
At least be entertaining and have sex once in a while!

I finished the next draft of “my favorite teacher is running for Congress and I’m in love with a Canadian” YA novel.
I have my list of 100 agents to query.
Problem is, novel is 61,000 words.
Too short? Can I find a few thousand words to add in the next few weeks?!
Any literary agents, advice please!

November is over so back to revising the campaign novel… at 40,000. I added another 2700 today.
