Relationships are challenged in the fifteen stories in “The Divide.” On this Valentines Day, do not order a copy for your sweetie. Don’t do it. Maybe tomorrow, clear-headed, as oxytocin’s misty blush wears thin. www.evanmorganwilliams.com/purchases

Our neighbors gave their laurel hedge a radical trim, and now we have no hummingbirds at our feeder. Correlation or causation? 😟

Bad Bunny's halftime show was surely the antidote to our current troubles, but in my heart I will always prefer a rocker who can rip it up (in the pouring rain, no less). I just re-watched Prince's half-time show from 2007, and it's still the best:

I woke up at 4:00 a.m. to catch an east-coast literary magazine's extremely short window for submissions. Add this to the writer's toolbox of skills.

Bottlecap Press has accepted my very long story, “Audiophile,” in their chapbook series! 🍻

After two years of near misses and diminishing venues that even read a work so long, this 34 page tale of hearing loss and high-fidelity has found a home.

Rare here in Portland: a red-breasted sapsucker. And since taking this photo, I have heard its call for several days. A new resident in my street tree?

“The Clear Blue Sky” is a moving story of tension, where the fractures between two people stand starkly against love.
