Absolutely. I have a copy of the Historia and was slightly interested in how they could manage to construct a timeline from the various games, but it was never necessary - the clue was in the title. And it clearly remains, at best, an afterthought when releasing a new game.
Putting Zelda games in a timeline has always been a self-defeating proposition. Legends are defined by the way they change with every retelling. That already tracks perfectly with the Legend of Zelda games, which all retain core plot and mechanical elements amid changes both large and small.
The latest Zelda game Echoes of Wisdom has taken its place on Nintendo's official Zelda timeline, although one rather wonders what the point of it all is.
