Cosplaying in public How to navigate stares from normies when you’re dressed like a cartoon. Questions from strangers Strangers may ask if there’s an event going on, what you’re dressed as etc. I often just tell people if it’s a simple answer, however if it’s not I have a few go-to “excuses” to avoid getting into it with people, like: - school project - photoshoot - birthday party Feeling the eyes on you Seeing people stare at you or feeling people’s eyes on you in a public spaces can be distressing. A distraction can be helpful. I usually take out my phone and text a friend, look around on social media, play a game, call someone or PRETEND to call someone… having something to engage with makes me feel more confident. Easier in groups Of course there is safety in numbers, so if you can travel in a group with other cosplayers (or a non-cosplaying friend) that can feel a lot better! If you’re heading to an event connect with friends to plan the trip together.

Monster hunter wilds is so fun!
I spent forever in Character Customization Hell because the game crashed on me when I went to bed the first night so I had to redo him over a few days!
