(FYI, I am NOT the head of merch for Hazbin Hotel. I just work heavily with all of the partners on creative strategy, product development, and marketing. There are MANY people involved in the merch. This is to all the people who are like “what single person do we immediately kill for this mistake”)

I think people don’t really understand the pipeline for merchandising. There’s usually a team for it with designers that give ideas/concepts/art for approval and it gets sent to whatever company is making the products. IT DOESNT USUALLY INVOLVE THE CREATOR AT ALL!

Just note. Yes, YIKES mistake but NO this was not done in any way intentionally. Assets go thru a lot of changes before being finalized for the show and, in this case, an older asset was ACCIDENTALLY used by our merch partner. It’s being fixed and the adjusted item will be in the shop shortly.
