(pin post) Hi, I'm Heather. I created Owlberry Lane with my kids many years ago...

Owlberry Lane is an old street inhabited by created creatures - monsters, spirits, mushrooms, owlberries, rabbits, cats, snails, cephalopods, all bouncing around and (usually) friendly...

I don't just make pretty things, I give each one of my creatures a soul. At least in my mind 🥰

Having a shop update today at 2 pm CST with these and a couple more. Each handmade & one of a kind. Range 3-5 inches tall.

I am realizing an app like this may be too fast-paced for someone who is distancing herself from social media 😅 But I do love the vibe and hope that in time I can learn to keep up 😵‍💫🤣

I wish more game developers would realize graphics are nice, but it's good story writing and engaging character development that most mature gamers want.

Just keep creating. The world needs your light. Believe me, you can, even when you don't think it's possible ❤️

What are you doing to keep from getting overwhelmed by the seemingly endless acts of political cruelty? No one thing is working so I've been hiking and hiking and hiking. Occasionally I'll make time for art. This calms me enough to call and email our politicians. Then I need to start over again.

My work is unabashedly handmade. I know that's not for everyone, and that's ok. But I find the soul in the asymmetry. Nature is perfectly imperfect. My creatures come alive shaped by my hands. Maybe I get too attached, but I'm a nurturer by nature 🌱

Today starts #BlackHistoryMonth and this badass sweatshirt from @mahoganymommies says it all. Mahogany Mommies is a Black Woman owned business. Go check out her page, go to her store and buy things. She has so many options, I promise you will find something you have to have.

Sometimes my simple characters really capture my heart, and I have to make them in many colors. Imp Cat is not done yet!
