When I look at a 16MM projector from 1947, I can tell someone really cared about the design. That each part was considered, the engineers put themselves into the design. That is exactly what’s missing in tech now.

The problem with AI and pretty much all modern tech is that the business guys are in total control. The engineers and the actual products are second. Therefore we see the fantastic failures of tech that would have destroyed companies in the past become “move fast and break things”

Theo Von doesn’t understand SSRIs and misinforms his audience. They don’t make you “not feel” or behave like an automaton - they help you so the emotions don’t overwhelm you. It’s about intensity. Depression can make you frozen.
