Life is a mechanism for redistributing energy, using it to decrease entropy locally whilst increasing it globally

Why I love GenAi - I just asked why doesn’t our atmosphere collapse under gravity…and learnt about the pressure gradient force and our atmospheric hydrostatic equilibrium.
