The US Department of State has designated the Cartel de los Soles as a Foreign Terrorist Organisation, saying the Nicolás Maduro-led group has corrupted institutions, engaged in terrorist activity and drug trafficking. It is likely an attempt to justify potential airstrikes in Venezuela.

Trump is clearly worried about the release of the Epstein files. By calling them a hoax in recent months, he’s hoping it will all just go away. He’ll probably launch an attack on Venezuela next week to distract from it.

The US House of Representatives is expected to vote on releasing the Epstein files next month, Thomas Massie says. It now appears they are likely to have the votes in favour of releasing them.
