One of the benefits of using your brain instead of GenAI to write/worldbuild is that when you inevitably screw up your data backups and lose your notes, you can just recreate them, because you already made them once.

Lately I feel my tonal preferences in sci-fi and fantasy shifting markedly towards misanthropy. Maybe I'm becoming cynical but I don't think we deserve to be flattering ourselves with optimistic depictions of being sensible and equal partners to comparatively successful alien races.

Company changed a thing in an application that irreversibly broke said application for VPN users. Now said users all gotta cram into limited Azure virtual desktops.
Change management boards should involve 1st line. I'm in for a very frustrating next few months on the phones. -_-
