Finished off some Bloody Miniatures ECW figures last night and now the varnish has gone off I can take a photo 😊

A rather broad selection of Bloody Miniatures. Painted in various colours with fairly verdant bases. Chap at the back is on his charger extolling the virtues of the King (quite possibly a thankless task 😬) and egging his men on to go cause some trouble in the name of royalty!

The medieval buildings now have options to buy the floors separately so you can mix and match for your own creations.

Just use the drop down menu and select which floor. The option for the whole building is there as well 👍

ME06 photo showing all the floors laid out separately. The timber has been painted in a warm brown and the plaster panels are a warm cream. The roof of mainly a terracotta but there are lots of differently painted tiles there to help break up the monotony ME01 is the same state as the previous photo. The wood is a little greyer but that’s about it.

Will eventually be playing 4th Ed and thought a gamey Screaming Bell was needed.

Not paying silly eBay prices and not keen on the new one so out came the balsa wood 😬

Will probably do a sabot tray and specific figures for it. Eventually 😬

The Screaming Bell on its own. Painted in a weathered wood colour with metal accoutrements and wooden wheels with metal trim. All suitably rusted. It doesn’t have a bell though, it’s a rather large gong instead. Bong! The Bell with some crew. Six skaven on either side with a monk in front of the bell and a gong bashed behind, bashing the gong. Phnar Phnar More of a side view with an extra rank of Skaven at the back which should give a unit of 19 plus the gong/bell/gong/bell

I've remastered the brick walls and columns in the Victorian Additions section and the doors have finally got their 'jambs' 😁

A little scene showing the parts now available. From the left; long wall, column, gates, column, half wall. There’s a night watchman in front armed with a pistol and a lamp. Why he needs the lamp in broad daylight is anyone’s guess 😬 Painted gates with the new door jambs. Our night watchman is holding up his lamp again hoping it’s of use. Long wall on its own. Quite a boring photo really and the nightwatchman won’t let his lamp go. What’s this?! Vandals?! No, just a photo showing that the caps of the columns are loose to ease painting. The night watchman is still holding up his lamp. I think we’ll leave him to it…

Got a couple of things finished off for a little project we’ll be starting in the spring… 😬

The setting is dark, low fantasy in a pseudo 15th century Europe. The main place for action is the city of Englestaadt. Lots more to do 😊

An antigrav cargo skiff with the new crane and two random small crates. It fits on the back of SFV16 which is now an option.

The crane sat on its skiff with two random crates. It’s painted in a heavily weathered grey and the tech standing next to it is wondering who’s going to clean it. The crane of the large cargo hauler painted again in the heavily weathered grey. The tech to the left is looking for someone to sign off on his overtime as he’s going to have to clean it himself. The parts of the crane kit showing (from left to right) the arm, the disgruntled tech, the main body, two random small crates, the flight stand (damn these high contrast photos of clear products…) and the bed of the skiff. Still weathered and dirty… The tech has given up and the crane on the cargo loader is just about to set off into the distance (or the nearest automatic hauler-wash).

A 28mm version of the Thompson farm from the ACW. Rough cut stone work for the main building with white wooden details and red doors. The roof is wooden shingles and there is a pergola to the front of the house with some climbers starting to take it over. Three 20mm scale timber framed, cottage style buildings with thatched roofs and decorative timber work on the apex of the roofs.

A Tamiya triceratops painted in olive greens with a detachable how’s next to it. Two South American ‘privateers’ are in the howda wondering how the hell it got on the ground. The Dino-train in all its glory. Triceratops to the right with the howda attached. A joining ‘arm’ connects the howda to the wagon behind the dino. Both howda and wagon are painted in browns and greys with black strapping. The base is very verdant, full of grasses, shrubs and growing trees. Oops! Everything is off the base to show the potential modularity as everything is either magnetised of pinned to allow for maximum gaming potential. And a quick view of the dino-train plodding off into the distance with its full compliment of slightly mad South Americans in the wagon, taking pots shots at the local fauna. Some of them will fight back though 😈

A selection of the 28mm Japanese village buildings all painted in browns for the wood and light cream for the panels, with the roofs off to show the simple interiors. They are on a green flocked baseboard with a few trees behind. Any ronin in the area are missing out. All those buildings with no roofs! Easy steal 😬 A painted 28mm Japanese yamashiro gateway. A small structure on top provides the main defence whilst two ashigaru charge through the gateway itself (but soon realise they’re in a picture and therefore can’t charge very far). A Sanada yari ashigaru runs past a rural signpost. The signpost has some faded writing on it but it’s beyond me what it says as I made it up 😬 A simple urban Japanese 28mm gateway painted in browns and creams with some grey stonework at the base. A lowly ashigaru is wondering where his mate from picture two has gone and what exactly this wall is supposed to be surrounding.

Perfect for scenario plot points or objectives. Comes with a separate top floor, wooden flooring and three rubble piles.

Finishes two plague monks during the week and now have a unit of 15.

I think I’ve dried up all the metal options (no keen on same poses in a unit) so might look at converting or more plastics if the unit is to get bigger.

A unit of 15 GW Skaven plague monks. Mix of metal and plastic painted in various shades of greens for the robes and, maybe not surprisingly, various shades of brown for the fur. The metal is gold but with a blue wash to tone it down and give it a patina look.

It was very bloody with only 2 figures left at the end lol

I got trounced but my leader Varac Skullcrusher managed to take out four enemy on his own before a rather lucky arrow took him out

The band of Varac Skullcrusher. The magic user was only an apprentice and therefore shocking bad 😂 From left to right. Rahdkas the Shaman, Vuther the Vile, Grurox and standing on the alter platform, the man himself, Varac Skullcrusher. Fairly tranquil surroundings of an overgrown ruined temple (made by yours truly 😊). The band move up the table towards the undead, through the temple but the heavy armour makes it a bit slow going. Varac and Vuthur are nigh on unstoppable! The dead are even more dead than before! I haven’t upload the photo of Varac lying on the ground with an arrow through his helmet though, it’s far too embarrassing 😂 Radhkas is being stalked by a wraith after only being successful in casting one spell the entire game. Useless walking goat (and not the modern meaning of goat lol).

ME12 Shop 2 looking from the front right quarter showing the building stacked together and the shop shutter in the open position. The roof has various shades of painted tiles to represent clay tiling and the walls are typically timber framed with light tan panels. Two knights are prowling around for the shop keeper as they want a haunch of mutton. ME13 is a ‘range’ building that usually would’ve extended out the back of the normal buildings/houses/shops. Same paint style as ME12. Mr Knight is still searching for some mutton. The parts of ME12 spread out. Consisting of (from front centre going clockwise) attic space, shop hatch and supports, a puzzled Mr Knight, first floor, roof and ground floor. The roof has come off ME13 as well and Mr Knoght just can’t fathom what’s going on. Shame really.

The dark Jedi in all his evil glory! Painted in warm blacks and greys al with a red sabre (as is fitting). Temperate base to fit with a plethora of terrain I have. He’s a bit more heavily armoured than his brother but that usually makes no difference in Star Wars 😂 A view from the other side. His face has been painted in a pale brown/grey to help give the impression of the evil vibe he’s giving off. A duel scene behind a Visions building. Plenty of details in the surrounding terrain but the figures are clearly visible in the middle of the shot. Who will win… They are now arguing in front of the building as to who will get the last meluron (even though there are plenty left).

One of our aeroneff scout ships (facing to the right). It’s armed with a deck gun and two crew are on the deck (quite possibly posing for the camera). Lower hull is dark grey, wheel house is white and the deck is veneer (supplied with the kit).
