Go to DMs> Select the chat where Vanish Mode is enabled>Swipe up on the chat screen again and release> vanish mode is disabled and the notification disappears in the DMs.
This only works if they DO NOT receive notifications from Instagram on their phone (on their like screen and/or banner).
