"Every small addition to the sum total of rationality is precious."
-Isaac Asimov

If you follow me, prepare to be disappointed. I'm here to yell into the void, not to build a following.
Apparently the secret to solving Wordle in 2 steps is to start with vulgarity of some kind.

Here I am, once again. On diet Twitter because actual Twitter thinks reading the Bible to Christians isn't allowed. If Jesus didn't want Christians to drink poison, he shouldn't have told them to drink poison in Mark 16:18.

Decentralize...

Power - Score voting, all citizens/nationals eligible.
Wealth - Wealth tax, UBI, first-time mortgage subsidies.
Knowledge - Free College.
Executive - Hold officers to same standard as civilians.
Judicial - Eliminate juror challenges.
Legislative - Eliminate gerrymandering.

. . .

Local elections are almost as wild as national elections these days. It's like "Do you want to vote this person to the school board who is a historical revisionist opposed to factual curriculum, or would you like to vote for this person who is endorsed by several charities and the teacher's union?"

Authoritarian moderation favors authoritarian users. People who, when they have the power to fuck people over using tools at their disposal, choose to use them instead of accepting differences and leaving others be. Perhaps that's why the internet has skewed further and further right-wing over time.

Being pissed off at social media payed off in Wordle.

I fucking hate centralized social media sites. Get in a debate about religion and suddenly your account is suspended for a month because some fuckhead reported an argument as if it was a threat to their existence. There's a reason Dolores Umbridge is the most hated villain in Harry Potter.

Right wingers be like "Unlike you entitled liberals, I don't want the government to do things for me." Yeah, that's exactly the problem. You should want the government to do good things instead of bad things.

"GENOCIDE SUPPORTER!"

The hyperbolic bullshit you have to come up with to demonize people (including leftists like me) who don't adhere to your doctrines is wild. Go ahead and block me. I'll just be enjoying this stream:

If you want to sound both highly intelligent and very stupid at the same time, just talk about the hard problem of consciousness. Many highly intelligent people spend a lot of time trying to figure it out, but it's a meaningless and ill-defined "problem" that goes away when you define terms.

Google is applying Chinese-style censorship in the US. Any speech which might be considered insurgent is shadowbanned on their platforms. The AI system just flags the comments and removes them. Youtube being the worst offender, given its large userbase.

If you took all of the water in Lake Ontario and turned it into a black hole, the result would not be black at all. It would glow with about 132 Watts of power, like a bright lightbulb. A lightbulb that will shine gradually brighter for the next 10²² years due to Hawking radiation.

If you're ever tempted to buy a Ubisoft game, pirate it instead. That way you can get a version capable of running offline.

Black hole event horizons and singularities don't exist. The objects we call black holes are made of collapsing matter which is so dense that time has effectively stopped passing for it. Since time doesn't pass, the collapse is frozen in the moments before forming an event horizon.

"Protect the children" is the mantra of overbearing parents, who insist that schools also control their child's life, and by extension force other children to be subject to their regressive views, and by further extension impose on everyone to avoid exposing them or their children to contrary views.

Did you know that trigonometry can be simplified to a single equation? I give you, the right triangle equation:

c·e^iθ = a+bi

Adding each side to its complex conjugate yields the definition of cosine. Subtracting yields sine. Multiplying yields the Pythagorean Theorem.

If Trump isn't prevented from seizing the power of the purse from Congress, then we no longer live in a Constitutional Republic. We live in a dictatorship. The power of the purse is specifically allocated to Congress by the Constitution.

At this point I think I've just accepted the fact that the world I live in is satire. It doesn't matter how stupid or ridiculous any idea is, because half of the population will always believe it and it will often become official public policy.
