I randomly assigned my students a different warbler to research, and then had them design a trading card for them. I'm finding it hysterical how their cards match their personalities. 🤣🥰♥️

I love watching raptors kiting. Pretty sure this is a Red -tailed Hawk. Trying to capture birds in flight is not a skill I have, but when they're kiting they are so still it is much easier! Wind conditions over Lake Ontario were perfect.🥰♥️

I love our native plant garden. we have different plants that bloom in spring, summer and fall. Currently it is New England aster's, and Heath aster's turn. 🥰

I wondered what was eating my butterfly milkweed, and a little of the common milkweed as well....I was hoping it was Monarch butterfly larvae, but nope, it is a Red-legged grasshopper. First season of this garden to have them as visitors.

On today's birding adventure I was certain I had two extra full batteries for my camera....turns out I did not. Of course there were birds everywhere, and I only managed these 3 captures of a Savannah Sparrow.
