This cat inside the box should be interactive when visible, however the open animation makes it visible halfway through!

To make sure it's fair, I was going to use await in code for that duration, but then I remembered Godot's powerful animation system!

I remember it took me a few hours to make a 3D camera in Godot Engine that followed the player on the X axis only while rotating down or up as the player got closer or further.
Now with Phantom Camera addon, I just have to set Follow Mode to Path!

yeah it's really tough at the start and it does feel very overwhelming
i guess there is no shortcut to it but a lot of trial and error
set smaller goals, split stuff into simple task, with time you'll feel progress

i just used an extension[1] to follow twitter accounts on here, and somehow i followed myself.
seems like a bug cause there is no unfollow button. better than no followers i guessπŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

if you meant that you're still learning godot and get sidetracked by figuring out the different features then:
make a simple learning project that you will complete. something common. something you can plan out in a simple todo list, so you know you can make it and/or it won't take years to finish

hey I'm no expert by any means nor I have published anything, but the furthest I've went with making a game was when I had everything planned out in a sketchbook, like even some pseudo code.
that meant I always knew what to do next and thus not get lost.
