I feel like a lot of the positivity here is manufactured and kinda toxic. Many are so actively trying to make this place unlike Twitter that they completely forgot why they came to this app in the first place. Just be normal it's okay

To be clear I am well aware I can just go follow a bunch of accounts and interact with them to get a better timeline. I'm just extremely curious why this specifically is what I was given at the start, and what it will take to make it "naturally" go away.
1000+ fu**y posts and I've yet to see a single post from a musician or tech enthusiast. This is what you get when you don't tell the app your interests on signup.

There is a lot of amazing and beautiful art here but I'm scared to like it because somehow 75% of my timeline is fu**ies (again, y'all are cool I'm just not a part of that world) and it's getting to the point where I think BlueSky is actively trying to convert me.
