Once upon a time, the USA had a President who led with kindness, empathy and an ability to relate to and inspire everyone he encountered - regardless if they voted for him or agreed with his politics. He served 8 years with integrity and not a single, personal scandal. His name is Barack Obama.
This made me ugly cry 😭
I will never claim that he was perfect…every president in my lifetime has pissed me off for one reason or another.
But…dammit, I’m so tired of the constant feeling of uneasiness and uncertainty 😔

I am one of only two Black People in my workspace and it’s fucking exhausting. Having to constantly be mindful of how I present myself and express my concerns to avoid the problematic black man stereotype is overwhelming. Especially with my size, bald head, beard and skin tone. I need a damn hug.
