snapbyte is now available for everyone. sign up here: snapbyte.dev

Last two weeks, I improved it by getting feedback from beta users (friends). It is now in a state that I am happy to accept users. I’m already working on the next feature BYO RSS feed.

snapbyte.dev is finally live!

I’ve been working on snapbyte since August. I started building it after realising I cannot find time to read content aggregators anymore. It fetches top stories from aggregators, summarises them multiple languages and creates digest based on user configuration.

Picked up a barebone N100 a few months ago, slapped in 16 GB RAM + 500 GB NVMe. Decided to turn it into my home router with some help from GPT-5.

- Proxmox as the host
- OPNsense VM: routing + firewall + DHCP
- AdGuard LXC: Ad blocking
- Tailscale LXC: remote access exit node
