नेपालका एकजना चर्चित नेताले ठूल्ठूला कुरा गरेर जनताको ध्यान तान्ने प्रयास गर्छन्। उनको बाकपटुता र अन्टसन्ट बयानले कहिले हाँसो कहिले विवाद निम्त्याउँछ। चाहे चन्द्रमा छुने सपना होस् वा छिमेकी देशलाई जिस्क्याउने टिप्पणी, यस्ता कुराले जनता र मिडियामा हलचल मच्चाउँछन्। तर यी ठूला कुराहरूको पछाडि ठोस उपलब्धि कमै देखिन्छ। जनताले यस्ता बयानलाई कति पत्याउने? सामाजिक सञ्जालमा ती नेताको खिल्ली उड्छ, तर जवाफदेहीता खोइ? यो प्रश्न हरेक नेपालीको मनमा छ।

कम खेल हुने, भारतको वर्चस्व हुने, व्यवसायीकरण र राजनीतिक तनावले भारत-पाकिस्तान क्रिकेट प्रतिस्पर्धाको क्रेज घटाएको जस्तो लाग्छ। घरेलु खेलको अभाव, एकतर्फी नतिजा, आईपीएल जस्ता लिगको प्रभाव र उमेरसँगै जीवनका प्राथमिकता बदलिँदा यो पहिले जस्तो रोचक महसुस हुँदैन। जादू हराएको त छैन, मात्र केही फिक्का भएको छ।

Cong gen secys thrived in politics for their way with words, but now, for lack of creativity and imagination, their once-impactful rhetoric has devolved into uninspired and inconsistent populism. Their quivers have run out of arrows.
