Treasures is officially on hiatus. While I expect to continue to weave new treasures in the future, my supplies and tools are all in storage while we establish our new place in life.

Gold & orange dice bag in a dragonscale weave. Suitable as a coin purse, a dice bag, maybe a shot glass, or any other small treasure you might want to carry with you.

Educating myself in history gives me perspective and some understanding of what this country has been through and how we seem to be repeating history, specifically the bad parts..

Here’s a quick gallery of my new work from the past six months. Tough to choose a favorite!

Which one is yours?

Hammered platinum and sea green scales at the top edge represent wave tops and foam, while the smooth scales below represent the gradient as you head into the depths.

The pouch is comprised of 320 scales with approx 1000 jump rings. It is 3.25” diameter (5” across laid flat) and 4.25” deep.

Here’s a second, slightly larger version of the dragon scale bag - this one is in my green & orange scheme, and contains around 1,600+ rings. Ignoring some trials & tribulations in closing the tube, total chargeable labor time is around 7 hours. This is not a quick project to complete!

Here’s the finished project.

This little dice bag is dragon scale, making it denser and more structural (holds its shape) than typical Euro 4-in-1 dice bags. It comprises nearly 1,000 rings in two sizes.

This one will hold roughly three sets of dice.

Here’s today’s finished product - mid-sized dice bag / pouch. 270 small anodized aluminum scales and around 900 jump rings. Turned out very nicely!

Today’s activity - what to do with leftover scales…
Will try to finish it up tomorrow.

Here’s my latest completed work. This one is a three-color, red / orange / gold combination. Rather than my typical diagonal striped pattern note the striking new diamond design. It’s quite striking!
There are over 1500 rings, with a little over six hours of labor involved.
