We believe that all medical students should receive suicide prevention training as part of their core curriculum to look after themselves, their peers and their future patients. There should also be a statutory Duty of Care for them as well as all students, which currently does not exist.

Our DrSAMS training has been delivered to hundreds of medical and nursing students in the few past weeks.

DrSAMS stands for Suicide Awareness in Medical Students - but it's not just for future doctors! Student nurses, paramedics, practicing GPs and other health care practitioners can all benefit.
