Thrilled for @senatehouselib.bsky.social, who've secured funding to catalogue Jonathan Cutbill's Haud Nominandum, the largest personal collection of English-language LGBTQ+ materials in the world! We had a handling session at #QueerBibliography 2023 with a tiny selection and it's a riot

Did you know Pac-Man was designed for women?

In the 1980s, during the golden age of male-dominated arcade games, game designer Toru Iwatani created one the most iconic video games for women.

Here's another one that I haven't shown for a long time. Sadly, this one is only known from this photo of it from Walter Steggles' archives. This is "Stratford Railway Works" by him from his post-war work but derived from his sketch from c.1930/31 #WalterSteggles #EastLondonGroup

A superb evening @bibsoc.bsky.social learning about the early print editions of the works of the #Brontë sisters. Thanks to all involved.
Drawing on bibliographical evidence gathered from hundreds of original copies along with information gleaned from extant publishers’ ledgers, this talk will trace the early editions of the works of Charlotte, Emily, and Anne Brontë during their first three decades in print.
