Bird numbers have been building at Abberton and there’s some good species around too! Lesser Scaup, 9 Greater Scaup, Slav Grebe, 4 Little Stint, 11 R-C Pochard, and Merlin were the highlights this morning. #EssexBirding #Birding #UKBirding

Minsmere was surprisingly quiet today but did still get good views of Water Pipit, plus Bittern, 5 Eider heading South offshore, Brambling, Marsh Tits, Bearded Reedlings, Kingfishers, and Grey Seals! #Birds #Birding #SuffolkBirding

Spent a couple of mornings at The Naze over the last few days! No sign of Little Auks but did manage Pallas’s Warbler, Yellow-browed Warbler (heard), Firecrest, Arctic Terns, RTDivers, Common Scoters, Gannet, and plenty of common shorebirds. #Birding #EssexBirding

Gannet, Minke Whale, and Kittiwake from the NatureTrek Lyme Bay boat trip a couple of weeks ago! It was also good to see Balearic & Manx Shearwaters, 100s of Common Dolphins, and a single Puffin among other things. #Birding #Birds #UKWildlife

I visited RSPB Arne last week, for the first time. A stunning reserve with great wildlife too! I managed distant views of White-tailed Eagle, as well as Sand Lizard, Sika Deer, Dartford Warblers, Curlew Sandpipers, Spoonbills, Hobby, and Firecrests! #Birding #WildlifePhotography

Spent last Sunday morning exploring RSPB Radipole Lakes where the highlight was an unexpected White Stork high over the reserve! Seems to have a metal ring. Also Curlew Sandpiper, Bearded Tits, and Kingfisher among others. #Birds #Birding #UKWildlife

I take my dog for walks from home every day around our edge of Colchester and always take binos (or a scope 👀) just in case. The last month has been really good here with Wood Sand, Ruff, Greenshank, 13 Green Sand, Whinchat, Wheatear, Ravens, & Spot Fly among others! #EssexBirding
