My employer, the oldest public defender office in the US, has deemed discussions of MLK Day, Holocaust Remembrance, and black history month as “insubordinate.” When you can’t tell the difference between a “progressive” org and Trump admin policy, remember-it’s worker and people power that wins.
For 56 years, our union has zealously defended clients from state violence. Our politics and our jobs are intertwined. We have fought hard to protect the free speech rights of our members. Now, those rights are under attack by our employer. 🧵/1
